We offer a comprehensive lesson program designed to develop horsemanship skills both in and out of the saddle. Our students receive instruction in both group and one-on-one settings, tailored to their current skill level and individual goals.
Students are welcome to bring their own horses or use one of our lesson horses.
Please note, our lesson horses are rotated in and out of the program to ensure their mental and physical well-being. As a result, students may not always ride the same lesson horse.
Experience the joys of horse ownership without the financial commitment and responsibilities through our Equine Lease Program. We offer lease options designed for riders of all experience levels. Whether you're looking to bond with a horse through groundwork or enjoy riding and training, we would love to help you find your perfect match.
Our leases are available in 90-day terms and are priced at $350 per month. The lease includes access to the farm's range of facilities and services:
Horse Access: Use of our horses, chosen based on your riding experience and goals.
Tack and Equipment: All tack and equipment necessary for your riding and training needs.
Facilities: Enjoy access to our heated tacking area, indoor and outdoor arenas, round pen, and 60 acres of scenic trails.
Full Maintenance: We cover all costs related to the horse's care, including farrier, feed, veterinary care, deworming, and supplements.
We offer a variety of lease types, ensuring there's something for every rider:
Groundwork Only: Ideal for those who prefer to spend time with the horse on the ground and develop trust and skills.
Riding: Perfect for equestrians who want to enjoy riding with guidance and support.
4H Lease: Tailored for those looking to participate in 4H activities with one of our horses.
We maintain high standards for training, riding, and handling to ensure a safe and respectful environment for both horses and riders.
As a lessee, you are expected to:
1) Adhere to ethical training practices at all times.
2) Leave all facilities, tack, and equipment, and your horse clean and in good condition after each use.
3) No horse transportation off the farm by the lessee
(except under special circumstances, such as participation in shows or trail rides, with approval).
4) Engage in positive and healthy equine partnerships.
Our team is always available for mentorship and support. If you need anything, please ask!

At North Gait, we believe in providing our lessees with not only the opportunity to ride and care for horses but also the guidance and support to build a strong, healthy partnership with their equine companion. We look forward to helping you experience the many rewards of horseback riding and care!
For students, both youth and adult, we offer a private, 60-minute introduction to the farm and us! This is a great way to meet us and the horses, tour the farm, and discuss your horsemanship goals, ensuring our farm and program are a good fit for you and your schedule. We would love to meet you and help you get started, or further your horsemanship journey!
